Many road accidents are caused by drivers who are distracted by their GPS device. Safety in your car should be a priority.
But, what if we have what we need on our sunglasses? Therefore, we can keep our eyes on the road, having, in the same time, all the information we need from the GPS navigation system right in front of us.

This is the premise of the Rickshaw GPS sunglasses, featuring a built-in GPS navigation system that relies on a tiny video LCD or audio voice feeds to provide you with the necessary travel information. Maps are provided via a microSD memory card.

in Invisibility and Security.
The British company ThruVision, has developed the T5000 camera that can detect what’s in your pocket from 80 feet (24.38 meters) away. The camera uses a technology known as Terahertz or T-rays and identifies items by the low-level electromagnetic radiation they emit.

The camera detects objects such as explosives, guns, and even drugs and it’s effective when people are moving.
Fortunately, it doesn’t reveal physical body details and the screening is harmless. For the moment, cameras like these will be used in places like airport security checkpoint, sporting events or shopping malls.
I wonder how long it will take the security to install these cameras on the street and to arrest people walking around with bombs or drugs in their pockets.
The technology will be unveiled at a scientific development exhibition sponsored by Britain’s Home Office on March 12-13.

It’s time for a change! Give your hands a break and put your feet to work! I frequently use shortcuts and hotkeys during using the computer and I think the new foot mouse is perfect for any intensive computer user. Using this mouse it’s like you’d have two another hands and reduces the repetitive hand and eye movement between hand input devices.

The foot mouse is a smart combination of a regular mouse and a simple keyboard. First I had doubts regarding its efficiency. The people can handle multiple pedals by foot without even looking at them. If you can drive a car, it is simple to drive the foot mouse, because it has foot controlled pedals, too. You can use the foot mouse and the hand mouse in the same time if you think that foot mouse can’t replace the regular mouse completely.

In Hong Kong, at Robot Kitchen, Robot No. 1 and Robot No. 2 are the waiters! They features sensors, including video and audio devices, so they can get around the restaurant without colliding the customers and they are able to respond to simple commands, if you spoke in Cantonese, a dialect of Chinese.
The robots are not like those you see in the movies. They don’t look so perfect. Robot no.1 recognizes voice patterns, take meal orders and, using infrared to send them to the cooks in the kitchen. The second robot has the same design and has a trail for carrying food. The third robot is still in production. The new robot will be able to prepare omelets or hamburgers.

The Nail Cushion concept protects your thumbs from hammers. It is a rubberized plate with several nail diameters. The cross holds a nail and lets the head pass through when you are finished pounding. So, you can hit the nail without injuring yourself.
Although, I think that busy people don’t have time to use this gadget and someone could make fun that you protect your delicate fingers.

Solid Alliance has released a special Merry Christmas Cake USB Hub! Solid Alliance is famous for the weird USB gadgets they created, like the campy-gross USB hub or the USB FoodHub.

The cake is amazing and delicious! The cream and the four strawberries look so natural! Yamy! I think this is the perfect gift for Christmas! The cake is a four-port USB 2.0 hub, and the four strawberries are flash drives providing 1GB memory.
Unfortunately, the cake is a bit expensive ¥50,000 ($453), but if you want to have one, better hurry, because reservations are only being accepted until December 3rd. Presently, the cake is available only in Japan, but they said this will be available online, too.

It’s not the first pen phone concept I heard about, but this pen is smaller and thinner. An anonymous person sent to the Gizmodo blog this concept design. This little phone uses ear buds for voice calls. It also features a little display, for revealing the caller’s identity, supports USB connection, the dialing numbers are arranged through the entire length of the pen, and it comes with a micro SD memory card slot. I really like the idea of cheating on exams with the nice pen. I wonder if you could use it for writing…

I’m sure that gadget will make the owner to become the attraction of public eyes. People will certainly amuse seeing you not only talking to yourself, but talking to… a pen. The Pen Phone concept will be probably developed, and, why not, a new collocation will be used: “I’m on the pen”.
