Robo-Waiter
In Hong Kong, at Robot Kitchen, Robot No. 1 and Robot No. 2 are the waiters! They features sensors, including video and audio devices, so they can get around the restaurant without colliding the customers and they are able to respond to simple commands, if you spoke in Cantonese, a dialect of Chinese.
The robots are not like those you see in the movies. They don’t look so perfect. Robot no.1 recognizes voice patterns, take meal orders and, using infrared to send them to the cooks in the kitchen. The second robot has the same design and has a trail for carrying food. The third robot is still in production. The new robot will be able to prepare omelets or hamburgers.
