The Nail Cushion concept protects your thumbs from hammers. It is a rubberized plate with several nail diameters. The cross holds a nail and lets the head pass through when you are finished pounding. So, you can hit the nail without injuring yourself.
Although, I think that busy people don’t have time to use this gadget and someone could make fun that you protect your delicate fingers.

Solid Alliance has released a special Merry Christmas Cake USB Hub! Solid Alliance is famous for the weird USB gadgets they created, like the campy-gross USB hub or the USB FoodHub.

The cake is amazing and delicious! The cream and the four strawberries look so natural! Yamy! I think this is the perfect gift for Christmas! The cake is a four-port USB 2.0 hub, and the four strawberries are flash drives providing 1GB memory.
Unfortunately, the cake is a bit expensive ¥50,000 ($453), but if you want to have one, better hurry, because reservations are only being accepted until December 3rd. Presently, the cake is available only in Japan, but they said this will be available online, too.

Phones
It’s not the first pen phone concept I heard about, but this pen is smaller and thinner. An anonymous person sent to the Gizmodo blog this concept design. This little phone uses ear buds for voice calls. It also features a little display, for revealing the caller’s identity, supports USB connection, the dialing numbers are arranged through the entire length of the pen, and it comes with a micro SD memory card slot. I really like the idea of cheating on exams with the nice pen. I wonder if you could use it for writing…

I’m sure that gadget will make the owner to become the attraction of public eyes. People will certainly amuse seeing you not only talking to yourself, but talking to… a pen. The Pen Phone concept will be probably developed, and, why not, a new collocation will be used: “I’m on the penâ€.

Invisibility
Invisible tanks?
It is not a new film or a computer game! The British Ministry of Defense conducted some tests last week, in which they made a tank completely invisible to someone standing at a certain point. That is more than an illusion, because the tank is there on the field, but you can not see it. The cameras and projectors hide it from your sight. If you look in the direction of the tank, you will only see what is beyond it. Sir John Pendry, from Imperial College London, declared: “The next stage is to make the tank invisible without them — which is intricate and complicated, but possible”.
